Qualitative research methodology was applied through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation analysis. The results show that the use of communication-based learning strategies, the creation of an Arabic-speaking environment, task-based approaches, and intensive guidance and mentoring are very effective in improving students' Arabic language skills. Students who communicate in Arabic on a daily basis show a significant increase in speaking ability. An environment filled with Arabic language elements supports continuous learning, while task-based approaches and contextualized learning increase student engagement and motivation. Technology provides additional flexible resources, and extracurricular activities and collaboration between students build a supportive learning community. The combination of these various strategies creates a comprehensive and effective learning approach, which can be applied in other educational institutions to improve Arabic language acquisition. This research fills a gap in the literature by providing specific insights into effective learning strategies in a boarding school context, offering practical guidelines for other educational institutions.</p> Siti Khusnul khotimah, Aulia Mustika Ilmiani Copyright (c) 2024 Siti Khusnul Khotimah khotimah, Aulia Mustika Ilmiani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ojs.uktub-journal.com/index.php/uktub/article/view/10833 Tue, 31 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Analisis Perilaku Verbal dan Non-Verbal dalam Kegiatan Berkomunikasi dalam Video Berbahasa Arab https://ojs.uktub-journal.com/index.php/uktub/article/view/10773 <p>Humans as social creatures cannot be separated from communication activities. Furthermore, in the real world the majority of people actually practice these two behaviors in their communication activities but they are not aware of it, therefore this article aims to explain verbal and nonverbal behavior both theoretically and practically by analyzing both behaviors in an Arabic video. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods in describing the data of its research results, and the data collection techniques are observation, documentation and quotation, and the data analysis technique is content analysis technique with three stages: data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that in the communication activities in the Arabic videos studied, there were 17 verbal behaviors in the form of assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive and 54 nonverbal behaviors in the form of kinestic, facial expressions, vocalic and proxemic. This data shows that in communication practice, a person actually uses more nonverbal behavior than verbal behavior. The implication of this study is that this research can be a reference for readers to understand the discussion of verbal and nonverbal behavior in communication activities both theoretically and practically, so that this understanding can be a means to improve the quality of their communication.</p> Yuni Lutfiani, Ade Nandang Copyright (c) 2024 Yuni Lutfiani, Ade Nandang https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ojs.uktub-journal.com/index.php/uktub/article/view/10773 Tue, 31 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700
